AW10 Preview: Miss Selfridge

Miss Selfridge has gone all boho on us for Autumn Winter.  This seems to be their usual trademark style, as they focussed on this direction for SS10. 

Long bohemian fur coats take centre stage, along with tapestry bags and floor-length long-sleeved dresses – taking the maxi trend further and allowing us to carry the trend on through with the aid of fur and chunky towering loafers.

The colour palette is dark, as is the mood – adding a seductive mystery to the collection, moving away from Summer pretty to now focus on a sultry Autumn Winter. 

Detail is by way of paisley print and embroidered hems of coats and necks of dresses.  

Miss Selfridge – unlike many of the other retailers – has opted to move away from the simplistic minimal look, and add in detail to spice up a dark moody collection of opaque tights and body covering dresses.

Again pale skin and cherry lipstick were apparent and this seems to be the major beauty trend filtering through across many of the brands…

The gypsy-esque collectionwill allow us to work figure hugging, flattering maxi dresses with beautiful embroidered bags and embellished jewellery.  For those of you that like to add something special to otherwise casual attire, then Miss Selfridge is the place for you for AW10.
