You may have been one of the thousands who watched from the balconies or one of our VIPs who watched alongside the runway but wherever you were there’s no denying just how beautiful and spectacular The Show: Dolls House was.

From the second our beautiful flutterby stepped onto the stage the audience was gripped. Beautiful, elegant and intriguing she started the show as the stage became awash with colour with products from Selfridges. An explosion of colour appeared on stage from the likes of Diane Von Furstenberg, Joesph and Nicole Fahri all at Selfridges, offering a punchy and powerful start to the show. Colour is a biggie for summer and is a trend that is apparent in almost all high street and designer collections.

Next up was the beautifully exquisite Fairtytale Romance, a devastatingly alluring trend. French Connection, COS and Miss Selfridge featured heavily in as lace, nudes and understated elegance came out to play.  This is an extremely feminine trend, which combines fantasy and make believe to create a delicate yet charming look.

Summer is the season of garden parties and the third scene embraces the fragrant beauty of the English country garden. Florals, flowers and blooms dominated the scene. You can work this trend however you please… The Show: Dolls House showcased a range of delicate detailed dresses from the likes of Warehouse, French Connection and Wallis right through to floral platforms from Next and Office.

Accessorises, accessorises, accessorises… We entered the dressing up box for scene 4 to experiment with some of this season’s most beautiful accessorises. Tan leather bags, bright platformed wedges and stunning gold cuffs were amongst some of the top picks from our retailers.

Next we enter a world of fruit salad. Citrus, brights, fiesta style. Fabrics that explode with vibrant delicious colours like tangerines.

As our gorgeous Summer Afternoon scene arrived it was the turn of the preppy look. Stripes and crisp blazers at the ready as the models emerged down the runway in some very pretty clothes from the likes of H! by Henry Holland, G Star and Oasis. Also if you came to see The Show you’ll know that a very exciting guest also arrived at this point awaiting her cue to appear on stage…

And then for the finale. A Feast of Fashion. Celebration time. Pompoms, stripes, fringes and lace. Plus lots and lots of colour. This was a celebration of all the great things about this summer’s collections. And our models were joined by the  Knickerbolliglory performer – the finale sensation – who closed The Show: Dolls House.
