Denim: How to wear the look at Wallis

A great fitting pair of jeans is the staple of every woman’s wardrobe and just in time for the new season Wallis has taken the agony out of shopping for the perfect pair with some simple advice on cut and fit and some lovely styling tips to inspire you on how to wear this classic trend.

Boot cut jeans (£40) flatter hips and look great on pear shapes, by highlighting the slimmest part of the leg they create a feminine, curvy silhouette. Team them with soft colours and fabrics, we love this light peach mohair cardigan (£33) and matching high heel loafers (£45.)

Flare cut jeans (£45) also balance out curves, lengthening legs with a wide flare that draws the eye down from the waist creating a long, lean silhouette. We recommend adding a platform shoe to the mix here for even more leg lengthening impact and these T bar numbers (£45) from Wallis are perfect.

Wide cut jeans perfectly encapsulate the 60′s trend that’s very much in for autumn. The wide leg is slimming and can balance out those who are bottom heavy to provide an even silhouette for ultimate confidence. It’s always good to accessorize and if you’re looking to draw attention away from any problem areas this is a simple trick that not only does the job but adds some extra wow factor to any outfit. We really like this colourful scarf, £15.

Skinny fit jeans (£40) can look amazing on all figures but wearing them correctly can enhance the look greatly. If you have small calves or if you are all about the hips, wear them with a long line top or tunic (£36) - this hides the largest part of the leg and makes you look super slim. Skinny jeans look fabulous on those with an hour glass figure and taller ladies, so if you’re lucky enough to have long legs, enjoy showing them off in a pair of these.

Straight cut jeans (£40) are perfect for elongating legs and skimming any problem areas with their simple line and easy fit. Jazz this humble classic up with some rock chick chic, Wallis‘ black biker jacket is perfect and the tight fit adds some emphasis to your curves.
